I make mini vase jewelry pieces including earrings, necklaces, hair pieces and soon lapel pins that hold water and keep flowers fresh for hours. Fleurings is a jewelry like solely dedicated to keeping flowers fresh!
Fleurings were inspired by my Grandmother's advice to "wear flowers in your hair" in order to make better tips when I was a waitress in my early 20's. I tried this one day and sure enough I found that I had a lot more customer interaction when I wore a fresh flower. This resulted in higher tips. I wanted to wear fresh flowers everyday and with lasting results, so I created mini vase jewelry that would hold enough water to keep blooms alive and fresh hours longer.

What are the key factors that have helped your store be successful?
Key factors have included word of mouth. Marketing through shows and blogs. I think shipping quickly and making sure to communicate and stay personal with my customers has been a huge factor as well.
Always make sure you have plenty of inventory in stock when you have big media coming your way. You don't want to be back ordered if possible.

What are your top recommendations for new store owners?
My recommendations would be to make sure that you promote your store through social media. I see a lot of my customers coming from facebook and twitter.
Also pride yourself on great customer service. Lastly, make sure your photos and entire site are SEO optimized ( I am still working on this one!)
