May 10 2012, 06:44PMHi James — it’s a commercial font called Proxima Nova by Mark Simonson Studio. It’s not available for free, but Open Sans (on Google web fonts) is a decent alternative.

You have a open type face somewhere and you converted it with fontsquirrel to the web font format ? :) That’s a very good question because I keep seeing people using Trade Gothic, Proxima, Clarendon(s) by the font-face method, but in reality, all it means is that you converted it from the print format to use on the site… You say commercial, I say, okay, it is but you use it as a web font which is not monitored by the font owner or he is not able to charge you for using it.. I know it, I have done it, I have had my own fonts be used like that before, and it sucks. The fair and legal way is the Typekit people :) Or Google fonts, or even Fontsquirell kits

September 19 2012, 06:54PMMore important would be the conversion rates and bounce rates for these stores. I find the usability of many of these stores leaves something to be desired and the designs, layouts and visuals are more caught up in making statements than selling merchandise.
Much of the navigation is not intuitive and is very unfriendly to the repeat shopper.The selections are sparse and excessive use of larger than life human faces with very carefully crafted expressions in the visuals distracts from the merchandise.

The template is clean and although I hired a company to help set it up, I can’t get over how many featutures Shopify offers business owners. The day to day operating system in itself make the process simple and efficient. But the ability for add on apps- Quickbooks for one. I’m pleased I chose a Shopify platform.

June 12 2016, 02:46AMEven though my first Shopify store sat like a dead fish on a deserted beach, I’m once again considering using Shopify for a new start. In the words of Sir Richard: “Find a need and fulfill it!” I believe I finally have. When I attempted to secure the domain name I found it already taken, and attached to an empty Shopify store, which made me look for another even more descriptive name! I just finished listening to your pod cast on using Kickstarter, which isn’t my choice atm, but it was VERY helpful. I’m not yet ready to open another store… yet, but I wonder if owning the .com will secure the name for me here. If not then I suppose I’ll have to look elsewhere, although I would mourn the loss of “buyable pins” . Things are moving much faster than I had ever dreamed with a 100% positive response from my niche market, and with only a concept to offer them. I’m moving into the design mode this coming week whilst waiting for other things to come together. If Shopify can assure me that I can retain my domain name for a future shop, you’ll be my first choice. Please feel free to contact me. And again, thank you for the pod cast.

I am seriously surprised and amazed with the level of detailing and information clarity the above mentioned websites have shown. Prior to this, I only knew about that shopify is quite user friendly and easy to use. You just have to buy the package that suits your needs and rest will be taken care by them. To be true, I had few doubts as how my website will look, will it be enough if i buy the package and leave the rest to shopify, is it going to help me or its just like other platforms that gets complicated later on. But looking at the websites now i can clearly choose the best. Thanks for the Post once again

I don´t like many of them, you have to guess what they sell, no clear contact info, or even worse: respond questions to see what they are about. Since when a skull and 2 bones (which is used for poison) on a food product is a great product packaging idea? and putting it on the front page of your site is another brilliant idea?
